Fabio's is really a beautiful story ...
Born in 1968 and blind since age 30 because of glaucoma,
Fabio fell in love with horses only eight years ago, but the hustle and passion
that characterizes this great athlete has quickly brought him to challenge the normal horsemen entering in the top ten of the Tuscan Regional Championship.
Fabio is the only blind-sighted rider who compete in
the endurance with all the other competitors, led by his instructor, Francesca
Gentile, through a microphone in the helmet as the riders do when they
communicate with the boxes. On his Indagato di Gallura, "who suffers from the
lack of my eyes," Fabio says, "challenge the" regular
"people on the 30 kilometers and sometimes beat them. My best result in
the ride was last year: seventh in the ranking of the Tuscan Regional
Championship.
