Reference structure for Italian and international horse racing, the San Rossore Racecourse has become in recent years also a fundamental location for the equestrian discipline of Endurance, so much that Pisa - San Rossore earned the title of "New Capital of the World Endurance ”.
The facility can accommodate up to 1,000 horses and includes various indoor riding schools, rides, paddocks and a real Veterinary Clinic both for short-term inpatient and longer stays for the rehabilitation of injured horses.
The San Rossore Hippodrome also has four straight grassy tracks about 2,000 meters long and a width varying between 12 and 30 meters, as well as two 1,900 meter long sand tracks, at the end of which an area develops of about 32,000 square meters that host the rods for horse riding.
Also, there are two paths for walking and trotting and a hedge training hall.
