The Estate of San Rossore and the Park
The natural park of Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli, with its 23.000 hectares, is one of the oldest and largest parks in Tuscany.
Inside the park, that goes between the provinces of Pisa and Lucca, it is possible to enjoy a variety of natural environments due to the presence of meadows, hills, forests, swamps, rivers besides a lake and a part of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Many are the habitats, the species of plants and animals that can be found in the park; this provides an extraordinary biodiversity.
Into the San Rossore Estate there is also the famous San Rossore Racecourse and the Villa del Gombo, born after the Second World War as an exclusive residence of the Italian President of the Republic.
